Bully is not a breed

It breaks my heart to hear stories of certain breeds being banned in areas simply because they were born that breed.

There are so many breeds being targeted because people don't know how to handle them.

Dogs are natural people-pleasers who want nothing more than love, boundaries, and more love.

They love us unconditionally and we pick and choose what is broadcast on the news as well as which breeds to spotlight.

All dogs have the potential to bite when provoked or not handled well. They also go through mood changes just like we do. Growling is their way of saying leave me alone. Respecting them will lead to trust .

Please do not make decisions based on the size or strength of the breed. There are little dogs with strong jaws and personalities, but because we think that "we can handle them" they are not on the "black list".

Talk to animal trainers, breeders, and those that have experience with Pit Bulls or other breeds labeled as "bully" before you judge so harshly.

Go to WWW.CesarMilan.com and WWW.ASPCA.org
Take a look at both sides please. Once it starts, where does it stop?

A few breeds that have been targeted: German Shepherds, Bull Terrier Bulldog breeds, Dalmatians, Pugs, and Boxers. Will your dog be next?

Providing help, knowledge, and training to the community will do more good than banning certain breeds. This information needs to be readily available through shelters and breeders during the adoption and/or purchase process.

Do any of you have a strong breed that you love? If not, do you have a story to tell? Let's stand up for them! Send me your story and photos, and let's Spotlight the positive.

There is always another side of the story.
Someone needs to tell it and we all need to hear it.
